KONA, HAWAII’S BIG ISLAND (March 2010) – Hawaii Forest & Trail‘s guests now have the ability to book tours live over the web from the comfort of their own homes or hotel rooms. By integrating the booking engine into a media-rich and informative website, users can find information on their favorite locations, tours and guides; learn about Hawaii’s unique natural history, flora and fauna; and make reservations 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. “We maintain a 9 month tour inventory lead time,” says Chris Colvin, sales and marketing manager, Hawaii Forest & Trail. “It allows us to accommodate 95% of our direct FIT guests.” After filling out a short reservation form, guests are issued a confirmation number. Within 24 hours they are emailed with additional details regarding their pickup time and location, and specific information about the tour they’ve selected.
